Notice of Hearing to Adopt Rules

A public hearing will be held in Suite 304, 3rd floor, 2040 W Main Street, Rapid City, South Dakota, on November 22, 2013, at 2:00 p.m., to consider the adoption and amendment of proposed Administrative Rules of South Dakota numbered §§ 20:38:29:03; 20:38:32:04; 20:38:32:06; 20:38:33:03; 20:38:34:01 and 20:38:34:04, inclusive. 2012 Changes to Administrative Rules

The Board recently made significant changes to its Administrative Rules of South Dakota (ARSD). These changes went into effect January 16, 2012. These new rules are contained within the Blue Book (which are copied from the rules provided under ARSD Article 20:38). The Blue Book is available from this website in Adobe .pdf format.

For the first time, the Board is making available on this website a 1994 publication entitled "A Brief History of Land Surveys in South Dakota." The Board also recently updated the "Compilation of South Dakota Codified Laws Relating to Land Surveying in effect July 1, 2012." Both of these documents are posted under Land Surveyors.

The "Building Officials Handbook" previously posted on this website is currently being revised and updated. When the revisions and updates are completed, the "Building Officials Handbook" will again be available on this website.
