Agent Identification
Administrative Rule of South Dakota (ARSD) 20:06:14:03:.3 mandates that when soliciting insurance, life or health agents must inform the prospective purchaser, before beginning a sales presentation that they are acting as an agent. The agent must identify themselves in writing along with the name of the insurer that they represent. A business card is suitable for this purpose. The identification and sales material must be left with the prospective insured when the agent leaves.
