Insurance Provisions - Percent of Firms Offering Benefits - 2005

 ü    Most employers that offer medical insurance share the cost of the premiums with their employees. 
       On average, employers pay for 76 percent of full time employees’ medical insurance premiums. 
       The employee is responsible for the remainder of the cost.
ü    
Most employers that offer medical insurance also offer coverage to the employees’ families. 
       However, employers typically pay less of the premium for the dependent coverage.
ü    
Most employers that offer life insurance pay for the entire premium for the life insurance.
