| Changes coming in the nonfarm wage & salaried worker data set |
|
Beginning with January 2007 data and forward, statewide nonfarm worker levels is not being published for the two following specific industries within the Retail Trade industry division: Motor Vehicle and Parts Dealers, and Food & Beverage Stores. Data for these specific industries has had to be dropped because it no longer meets the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics' criteria for estimation and publishing. Historical data from 1990 through 2006 for these two industries will continue to be available on the Labor Market Information Center website from the menu at www.sdjobs.org/lmic/menunonfarmworkers.htm, but data for January 2007 forward is not available. Historical nonfarm wage and salaried worker data was recently revised to eliminate series breaks in this historical data series. Revised data back to 1990 is now available in the nonfarm wage and salaried worker historical database. Also, county nonfarm wage and salaried worker levels by industry will no longer be available on the Labor Market Information Center website. However, monthly total nonfarm wage and salaried worker levels by county will still be available online. If you have any questions about any of these changes, please contact the Labor Market Information Center at 1.800.592.1881. |
