The Job Search Assistance Program (JSAP) is a free workshop for people recovering from job loss or enhancing their job search skills. Trained instructors speak on modern-day techniques used to successfully find employment. Topics covered are: resume and cover letter writing, interviewing etiquette, networking effectively, using social media and much more. Parties interested in attending should register by calling 605.626.2340 prior to 5:00 p.m. the day before the workshop.

Wednesday, May 15, noon - 3 p.m. - The South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation will be holding itinerant office hours at the Mobridge Economic Development office. Tuesday, May 14, 28, 1-3 p.m. - The South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation will be holding itinerant office hours at the Spink County Courthouse, third floor. Wednesday, May 22, 1-3 p.m. - The South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation will be holding itinerant office hours at the Day County Courthouse basement. Aberdeen Area 2013 Job Fair

The South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation along with Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce, Aberdeen Development Corporation, Absolutely! Aberdeen, Aberdeen Area Human Resources Associations, Aberdeen News Company, New Tec, Inc., Hub City Radio, Dakota Broadcasting, LLC, and Northern State University will be sponsoring Aberdeen Area 2013 Job Fair. The Job Fair is for anyone seeking full or part-time, permanent, temporary or seasonal employment. The Job Fair has free admission and is open to the public; and, a chance to showcase yourself, share your resume, check out available jobs, and meet with multiple local employers at one time. Over 45 employers are expected to attend.
