Notice of Public Hearing to Adopt Rules
A public hearing will be held at the Aberdeen Administrative Office, 420 S Roosevelt Street, Aberdeen, SD on November 20, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. to consider the adoption of proposed rule numbered:
§§ 47:06:02:03.01, 47:06:02:04, and 47:06:02:11
The effect of this rule allows domestic employers the option of paying state unemployment contributions (UC) annually instead of paying quarterly.
The reason for adopting this rule is to allow domestic employers the option to file an annual UC report and pay contribution once a year or file quarterly UC reports and pay contributions quarterly.
Persons interested in presenting data, opinions, and arguments for or against the proposed rules may do so by appearing in person at the hearing or by sending them to the South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation, Attn: Pauline Heier, 420 South Roosevelt St., P.O. Box 4730, Aberdeen, SD 57402-4730. Material sent by mail must reach the Department of Labor and Regulation by November 30, 2015, to be considered.
After the hearing, the Department will consider all written and oral comments it receives on the proposed rules. The Department may modify or amend a proposed rule at that time to include or exclude matters that are described in this notice.
Notice is further given to individuals with disabilities that this hearing is being held in a physically accessible place.
