We work to prevent and detect claimant and employer fraud in the South Dakota Unemployment Insurance (UI) program. Benefit fraud costs everyone money. South Dakota law provides penalties to claimants and employers who commit fraud.

If you are aware of someone fraudulently collecting UI benefits, please use one of the methods below to inform us about it. You are a very important source of information about claimants and employers committing fraud.
All allegations of fraud are investigated.
You can make a report anonymously or give us your name. Knowing who you are gives us a chance to obtain additional details if needed.
To be sure we are able to adequately investigate your allegation, be sure to include as much information as possible. If you do not have all the information requested, do not worry; tell us what you do know.
