Title - General Educational Development (GED)

Testing - Non-South Dakota Testing

Test Scores Obtained Outside of South Dakota

If you have successfully passed the GED® tests outside of South Dakota, but would like a certificate from our state, you must meet the requirements of the South Dakota GED® program. The testing must have been completed at an official testing center. The GED® Testing Service may request a transcript in order to merge scores from another state.

Test Scores Obtained through the GED® Testing Service

If you are an American civilian or a foreign national stationed overseas at a military base, and have tested through the national GED® Testing Service, you may use your scores to obtain a South Dakota GED® Certificate if you meet all South Dakota requirements.
